What is BUCS?
BUCS stands for British Universities and Colleges Sport - it is the national governing body for higher education sport.
​
The BUCS vision is "to enhance the student experience through sport".
​
​It delivers leagues, competitions and events for inter university sports to over 150 institutions.
​
​Over 4500 teams compete across 50 different sports.
​
Badminton is one of the largest indoor sports in the BUCS team programme.
​
Leagues typically consist of 6 teams and matches are played both home and away.
Matches consist of both singles and level doubles.
​
Matches take place on Wednesday afternoons, which is the university's dedicated sport time.
